Originally from West Yorkshire, Rizwaan is a dual qualified dentist. His first degree was in Dental Technology at Manchester University. Rizwaan has 2 years experience of working as a dental technician both in a private lab and Manchester dental hospital where he specialised in prosthodontics and implant retained dentures. Following this Rizwaan graduated in Dental Surgery from the University of Leeds. Rizwaan completed his foundation training in Hull. In 2021 Rizwaan became the youngest winner for the BACD poster prize for his research on digital occlusion and again in 2022 on his clinical case. Rizwaan’s main area of expertise is in the field of fixed and removable prosthodontics and occlusion two topics which he has presented at various conferences around the world and has written CPDs for dentists. He also currently sits on the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Committee (BACD). Rizwaan is also part of the British society of Prosthodontics (BSSPD) and British Society of Restorative Dentistry (BSRD).
Rizwaan is extremely caring and always has a smile on his face, and ensures he is kept up to date with his dental skills by attending various courses.
Outside of Dentistry, Rizwaan has a keen passion for both cricket and hockey, two sports which he follows and plays. He loves his 80s music, as well as sci-fi films and novels and enjoys swimming. Furthermore he keeps on top of facial routines and products so he can grow old gracefully.
